Porsche announces limited edition two-seater Boxster with prices starting at £47,426.
Porsche is back in black with its second limited series Black Edition model. Following the 911 Black Edition, this is the Boxster S Black Edition which goes on sale here next month. The Black Edition is priced from £47,426 – £3,626 more than the standard S model.
For your investment, you get one of a limited run of just 987 cars worldwide. Each car is finished in black and features the same, uprated 320bhp version of the 3.4-litre flat-six that powers the Boxster Spyder.
That means the Black Edition will sprint from 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds with a six-speed manual gearbox, 5.1 seconds if you opt for the seven-speed PDK twin-clutch box and just 4.9 seconds if you stump up for the Sport Chrono Package Plus.
Other spec highlights include new lightweight 10-spoke 19-inch wheels, which shave five kilos from the car’s kerbweight, Black Edition badging, black leather trim, and black-painted details inside and out.
Black Edition cars all come with auto wipers, cruise control, sat-nav, auxiliary input for your MP3 player and uprated stereo, and xenon headlights. A day at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone is also included.
The full suite of options is still available, including Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and adaptive sports seats with memory function.
