Electric plug-in prototype with 89g/km of CO2 to debut at Geneva motor show
If you like your beef ethically reared and lovingly caressed before sticking it in a bun with ketchup, here be it: the tax-free Range Rover.
Well, tax-free if it ever went into production. The electric ‘Range_e' is a prototype, scheduled to make its debut at the Geneva motor show.
Based on a Range Rover Sport, the ‘e' features a 3.0-litre TDV6 engine mated to an electric power source making it a diesel hybrid. Land Rover reckons the electric Rooney emits just 89g/km of CO2 and can run for 20 miles in EV mode.
It'll hit a top speed of 120mph, if you're interested.
Alongside this tax-free RR Sport at Geneva will be the £120k+ Autobiography we revealed last week, the Evoque in three and five door flavour, and the 2011 Disco 4 ‘Landmark' limited editions.

We'll be at Geneva, trying not to get sideswiped by a rambunctious photographer with a penchant for scantily clad ladies. In the meantime, why not indulge us with your thoughts on sub-100g/km premium SUVs.
