According to a recent report, BMW will introduce the 6-Series Coupe at Auto Shanghai 2011.
Expected to be virtually identical to the Concept 6-Series Coupe, the production model will feature a bold design with a prominent twin-kidney grille, xenon headlights, and LED fog lights. Inside, the cabin will come nicely equipped with Dakota leather upholstery, a freestanding 10.2-inch iDrive display, and the usual wood / metallic trim.
At launch, engine options will likely include a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with 320 hp (239 kW / 324 PS) and a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 407 hp (304 kW / 413 PS). Regardless of what powertrain is selected, it will be paired to a six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic.
Auto Shanghai kicks off on April 19th, so expect full details to be announced when the car is officially unveiled.
