BEIJING — Chang'an Auto, the Chongqing-based make partnered with Ford and Suzuki, surprised the Beijing Auto Show with its new Tianyu SX4.
In essence, it's a China-built version of the new SX4 sedan that will grace the lots of Suzuki's U.S. dealers in model-year 2008.
Chang'an said it began taking orders on December 4, with prices starting at around $13,400. The Tianyu is being assembled by the Chang'an-Suzuki joint venture.
The American version will closely resemble the Chinese model. The two are expected to share most underbody components, including chassis and powertrain.
