Mazda is entering into the spirit of a registration plate change with three new special edition models.
The Mazda3 Katano comes with satellite navigation, metallic paint and a chrome exhaust pipe on top of the usual Mazda3 fixtures and fittings. It costs £12,995 for the 1.6-litre model.
The Mazda6 also comes in Katano trim with the same extras as the 3, but boasts an added boot spoiler as part of its £14,995 price.
Equipped with a 2.0-litre engine, the Mazda6 Katano works out at around £2,500 cheaper than an equivalent standard Mazda6 with the same specification.
Then there's the Mazda5 Furano, which adds a body kit, clear rear-light lenses and metallic paint.
The Mazda5 Furano costs £16,995 for the petrol model, and £18,995 for the diesel.
