If your name's not Ken Livingstone, you might well be looking forward to the launch of the new Freelander. Land Rover has announced the price list for its brand-new compact SUV, which goes on sale at the end of this year.
The Freelander II will be available with a choice of two engines - a 2.2-litre turbodiesel and a meaty-sounding 3.2-litre petrol straight-six.
The range starts at £20,935 for the base diesel, maxing out at just under £34,000 for the top of the range i6 HSE, which includes twin tailpipes and a set of tasty 18-inch 12-spoke alloys. Mayor repellant not included.
