When a car company describes something as 'cool', we're apt to think otherwise. If something is cool, we don't need to be told so.
So, here we have Chevrolet telling us its Paris motor show concept is not just cool, but 'ultra-cool', which is a nifty play on the 'Ultra' name for this concept.Touted as a working concept for the World Touring Car Championship, the Ultra is equipped with a 187bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine under its stubby snout.
Chevy tells us this unit gives the Ultra sufficient zip to rival high-performance petrol cars, although no figures have been forthcoming.
More pertinent is the diesel engine, which will make its way into the Captiva SUV when it launches in early 2007, albeit in a less highly tuned state, which is less cool.
