GM Daewoo Gives a Peek at the Chevrolet Captiva

The new Chevrolet Captiva will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, but the company has revealed some pictures and basic data in advance.

Captiva based on the 2004 Chevrolet S3X concept and built on the Theta platform. It is 182.6 inches long, 72.8 inches wide, and 67.9 inches tall. There will be both front- and all-wheel-drive versions available.

There will be three powertrain options, among them a brand-new 2.0-liter common-rail diesel jointly developed by GM-Daewoo, GM Powertrain, and Italian specialist VM Motori. This engine will also be offered in other Chevrolet products in the future. Additionally there will be two gasoline engines: a 2.4-liter base and a top-of-the-line 3.2-liter V6.

The car will ride on 16-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch at the back and will utilize struts at the front and an independent four-link design at the rear.
