It’s only the desire to get more than what we have leads to new discoveries. However, there are many yet that aren’t fulfilled. One of them is a flying car that could also be effective on and off road terrain. But it’s just a couple of years you all need to weight for flying car to come.

The long cherished dream of a flying car is getting DARPA treatment. Dubbed as Transformer TX, this flying Humvee-like prototype could be a reality by 2015 and is already detailed in a Pentagon budget report 2009.

It will be a robust ground vehicle that will feature Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) with a payload capacity of 1,000 lbs. Transformer TX will be powerful enough to carry four fully armed troops and will measure no more than 30′ by 8.5′ by 9′.

Surprisingly, this vehicle is capable to lift itself like a helicopter and could reach the altitude of 10,000 feet. This car seems straightway from sci-fi and the vehicle to have an ability to cross 250miles before filling up on gas.

The eco factor has also been considered and the Transformer TX is likely to possess a hybrid electric drive.
