Ford put the wraps off to its new ‘Start Concept’ at Beijing Motor Show. The revel marks Ford’s first concept car after a long span of three years or more. The design best addresses the fuel efficiency problem, traffic congestion, and parking space.

The frame of the car makes the heavy use of lightweight aluminum and is powered by a 1 .0-liter Ford EcoBoost engine that has a same amount of power and torque output as a traditional normally-aspirated in-line 4-cylinder with (approximately 105-110hp) its C02 emissions below the 100 g/km mark.

The compact power plant will be mated to 6-speed manual transmission, which permits gear spacing to deliver performance without sacrificing fuel economy. Start concepts also features a smooth exterior shell created with lightweight composite body panels that snap-fit on an aluminum structure.

With its ambitious design, the concept also features laser-cut LED lights as well as two other sets of running lamps, latest connectivity technology and fun to drive vehicle dynamics. Also, there is MyFord Mobile concept technology with touch-screen panel that driver can use to control air conditioning and navigation and to interface with smart phone device.
