'Bonnet de douche, Rodney, and lovely jubbly,' will be Del Boy's chant as his Reliant three-wheeler van made more than £40,000 at auction.
As the hammer fell at the Royal Horticultural Hall in London yesterday, the Reliant Regal van sold for £44,227, achieving more than double its estimate.
Resplendent in grime and bearing Del Boy's legendary 'Trotter's Independent Trading' script on the sides, the 1972 three-wheeler was part of an auction of television and film cars, which also included an original Batmobile from the 1960s, sold for just shy of £120,000.
