Ferrari’s theme park officially opens, becomes largest indoor theme park on the planet.
Ferrari World is open! For the princely sum of 225 Dihram, which is about £37, or the same as an adult ticket to Alton Towers, you get access to a whole host of Ferrart themed attractions.
Located on Yas Island, along with the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 track, the 200,000-square-metre red roof houses more than 20 rides, including the four dimensional Speed of Magic journey and the Formula Rossa rollercoaster which will sprint from 0-60mph in just two seconds and hit speeds of up to 150mph.
Other highlights include Made in Maranello, which offers a virtual tour of the Ferrari factory, the Fiorano GT Challenge, which is a unique duelling rollercoaster with Ferrari F430 Spiders; and the Bell’Italia – a miniature recreation of Italy’s most famous locations, including Portofino and the Amalfi Coast, the Monza racetrack, the Colosseum in Rome, Venice and Maranello.
