Owned by Sydney brothers Mohammed and Bakr Ibrahim, the BMW Goldie Horn flaunts a 23k gold plated boot, undercarriage, wheels, driver’s seat and steering wheel. More than $1 million was invested in gold plating the vehicle. Ben Tubridy, who manages the Ibrahim brothers’ Queen Street Customs store, said that the gilded car has managed 7.2 seconds down the quarter mile at 196 miles an hour.
The Queen St Custom’s gold plated BMW comes fitted with a custom-built quad rotor Mazda engine that is capable of producing 2000hp. The eye-catching BMW Goldie Horn is a half show car, half drag car.
