DETROIT — Chevrolet said it will build 4,000 copies of the HHR Premiere Edition, an appearance package for the popular wagon with a "cappuccino frost metallic" exterior, starting in the first quarter of 2007.
The special-edition HHR will make its debut in early January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The Premiere Edition package adds $995 to the price of an HHR 2LT. The Premiere Edition bumps the price of the HHR up over 20 grand for a sticker of $20,345, including a $590 destination charge. The package includes 17-inch black chrome wheels, a black chrome exterior package, front foglamps and headlights with smoked lenses, an aero rear wing spoiler, custom floor mats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It also includes an ebony/gray two-tone interior.
The Premiere Edition is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 175 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission.
