The Polo GTi takes its styling cues from bigger brother, the Golf GTi, including the honeycomb front grille, red-painted brake callipers and chromed exhaust pipes.Powering the Polo GTi is 148bhp, 1.8-litre turbocharged engine, which sees off 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds.
At £14,785, the Polo GTi is pricey but tempting, which cannot be said of the £12,645 Polo Dune.
The Dune has dressed up as a 4x4, but its 1.4-litre petrol or diesel engines only drive the front wheels. The diesel costs £850 more than the petrol.
