2010 Volkswagen Passat facelifted

The B6 Passat was heavily facelifted by Klaus Bischoff and Walter de Silva, and was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September 2010 and although designated "B7" the car is not an all-new model.

The facelift resulted in every external body panel being changed, except for the roof and glasshouse, with the most prominent change being to the grille and headights, which mirror the style first shown on the Mk3 Scirocco. The height and width dimensions are unchanged from the B6 Passat, while length increases by 4 mm. New features include a fatigue detections system and an automatic ‚Äúcity emergency braking‚Äù system.

It should arrive at dealerships in mid-November 2010.
The interior featured minor detail changes from the B6, although the basic dashboard design remain unchanged.
A long-wheelbase version of the Passat will be built in China by FAW-VW in 2011.

Overhaul of Nissan GT-R includes power boost

The 2012 Nissan GT-R goes on sale in Japan next month and comes to the United States next year.

The 2012 Nissan GT-R, which arrives in the United States next year, gets its biggest overhaul since the high-performance sports car was relaunched in 2007--with a premium placed on more horsepower and better fuel efficiency.

Nissan Motor Co. boosts engine output to 530 hp, from 485 in the current model. Fuel economy improves to 20 mpg, from 19.5 mpg, under Japanese testing standards.

The redone GT-R, which goes on sale in Japan on Nov. 15, also gets a refreshed interior and exterior. Engineers adjusted the styling to reduce its drag coefficient to 0.26, from 0.27.

Among the changes are bigger bumper and grille openings, rectifier fins on the front bumper to increase downward force and a redesigned rear bumper to lower the center of gravity.

The 2012 GT-R also gets a carbon composite strut supporting bar in the engine partition wall to improve the body's rigidity, as well as larger diameter brake rotors to increase braking force. The car will ride on newly designed forged aluminum-alloy wheels that are lighter and more rigid.

Nissan said the car will come to the United States sometime after February 2011 but wouldn't be more specific.

Palatov DP4 Go-Kart promises one hell of a ride

The dp4 can be easily towed to the track behind ordinary cars on a lightweight trailer, thanks to its low weight and compact size. Moreover, the dp4 go-kart can be easily operated by a single person, without the help of any crew.

The pricing for the 2010 Palatov dp4 go-kart starts at $25,910 for a DIY kit and goes as high as $50,610 for a pre-built, 800lb, all-wheel drive version featuring a 1400cc 200HP turbocharged Hayabusa engine.

Palatov Motorsport doesn’t offer any street version of the stunning dp4 go-kart.
